Sunie: Hello there, and thank you for participating in this interview. I just have a couple questions to ask you regarding the upcoming DotA tournament at Gamescom in Cologne. First off, could you tell us a little bit about yourself, and your team?
Fnatic.Kebap: My name is Rene. I am 19 years old, working as security at night. I like to hang out with friends when I am not playing DotA. Well about the team, I would say we are all confident to get far and ofc will try to win the tournament. However, I'm sure we will have one of the hardest starts into the tournament, since we are using freezer as a stand-in. We didn't play that often to get really used to each other.
Sunie: Even though you guys haven't played that much together, how are you guys preparing?
Fnatic.Kebap: We didn't practice that much due to some guys having to do stuff in real life, but we scrimmed a lot before against teams like xeo.int and some others. So we are just chilling lately... Another problem was that I didn't have any mouse for the last week to scrim, so I do kinda blame myself for not scrimming the last week.
Sunie: Are there any teams you're excited to seeing live, or playing against?
Fnatic.Kebap: Yeah, I'm really excited to meet toneeh irl. I really think toneeh is a great person in real life and also the rest of the Australian team. It's really great to see a non European team come, and I would like to face them at LAN.
Sunie: Are you planning on bringing any good luck charms?
Fnatic.Kebap: I'm the lucky charm teddy myself no need!
Sunie: Lol! Could you tell us a little bit about your stand-in, and how you think this is going to affect your teams performance?
Fnatic.Kebap: Well in general, I think freezer is a brilliant player, but we are not really used to each other. So we will see. I don't think if we play bad, I'll blame it on having a stand-in like freezer. I would say we should be fine! No excuses.
Sunie: How do you feel about the prize money? Do you think this will affect your teams playing?
Fnatic.Kebap: Well, I think its a good motivation boost for everyone, but overall I guess we would even be motivated to come out on top if the prize money was low... since we wanna show everyone why we are called FNATIC!
Sunie: Do you see your team going to more LAN events after the DotA tournament at Gamescom?
Fnatic.Kebap: Yeah for sure.
