Sunie: Hello there, and thank you for participating in this interview. I just have a couple questions to ask you regarding the upcoming DotA tournament at Gamescom in Cologne. First off, could you tell us a little bit about yourself, and your team?
dmZ.eQuiNOX: Hey, I'm eQuiNOX and I live in northern Germany and I'll attend at the Gamescom with my team dmZ. I'm 20 years old and I have been playing DotA for four years.
Sunie: How is your team preparing for the tournament?
dmZ.eQuiNOX: We are not doing a boot camp unfortunately, but we'll prepare online as much as possible
Sunie: Are there any teams you're excited to seeing live, or playing against?
dmZ.eQuiNOX: Well, we met most players from the big teams at the DL Masters, so there are many people that we already know. I'm looking forward to the feeling of playing on LAN. It can be very exciting, with all the noise and stuff.
Sunie: Do you think all of the noise and excitement is going to affect how your team plays at the event?
dmZ.eQuiNOX: I hope it will affect us in a good way and motivate us... it's always very cool when you get firstblood and the whole team is just screaming... that's the LAN feeling.
Sunie: Do you think the prize amount will motivate you guys, what do you think about the prize amount? 15K USD or higher!
dmZ.eQuiNOX: Well 15k is a step in the right direction of course. In the past the prize money for DotA always was like the half of the WC3 prize money which is a !singleplayergame! As you see the prize money motivates many teams to come. Not only Team Razer, Ravens who nearly attend every event.
Sunie: Are you going to be bringing any good luck charms?
dmZ.eQuiNOX: No I don't need good luck charms I guess I hope to see some nice girls around so they can be my good luck charms ofc
Sunie: What would you say are your teams weakness and strengths?
dmZ.eQuiNOX: I think our weakness is that we are going to attend with one stand-in. But we will train a lot with him and I hope we can get the team spirit going. Our strength is that the rest of us have played together for a long time now, and we have very good individual skills.
Sunie: Who is your stand in?
dmZ.eQuiNOX: Tobias "Arya" Strank. I think the most people in the DotA scene knows him... he's one of the best soloplayers, and the task is to make it work out with the team play
Sunie: Do you see your team going to many more LAN events after the DotA tourney at Cologne?
dmZ.eQuiNOX: If it goes well we will attend more and more LAN events with big prize pools I hope
Sunie: And finally, do you have any shout outs you'd like to give?
dmZ.eQuiNOX: Yes, to dmZ and maxpoint who support us on this LAN event, my team and UNIQUE.DUCKY din tegning
