In a couple of days 8 great teams will be meeting at Gamescom to attend the first DotA Allstars DotA Tournament. With a huge prize package, great coverage, and a great venue... this tournament should not only be a lot of fun, but should really influence the DotA scene. We are doing a series of interviews of some of the players to give you some incite into how the teams are preparing, and what they are looking forward to.
Sunie: Hello there, and thank you for participating in this interview. I just have a couple questions to ask you regarding the upcoming DotA tournament at Gamescom in Cologne! Could you please tell us a little bit about yourself?
MCiTY^Esco: I'm escobar formerly from the firm and mcc, joined musica (MCiTY^Kirai), banks (MCiTY^Banks), and toneeh's (MCiTY^Tonton) team along with blackshatan (MCiTY^Shatan) which is now known as mcc/sgty, or MCiTY. We played together for a few months now and are looking forward to Germany a lot.
Sunie: I'm glad you're looking forward to it! How is your team preparing for the tournament?
MCiTY^Esco: We meet up in Melbourne for a few days to practice on lan, playing mostly against Asian teams, as we feel their level of play is probably higher in general than other parts of the world. Also, there's no Asian teams participating in Germany, which is good. Basically that's all we have been doing to prepare. Everyone went back to their home city, now I'm just staying in Australia till we leave.
Sunie: Even though there isn't any Asian teams going to Gamescom, are there any teams that you're looking forward to meeting or playing against?
MCiTY^Esco: Yeah, definitely Ravens, Team Razer, and Fnatic. We are expecting to be very tough and looking foward to playing them for sure. also looking forward to meeting Germans, brushing up on necessary German words like "*****".
Sunie: Lol! Do you have any good luck charms that you will be bringing to the tournament?
MCiTY^Esco: Yeah, I guess you could say musica's shoes are good luck charms but that's about it.
Sunie: Can you tell us a little bit more about musica's shoes, and why they might be good luck charms?
MCiTY^Esco: All I can say is hot chic.
Sunie: What do you think of the prize money for this event... 15k USD or higher?
MCiTY^Esco: Can pay my rent for a while seeing as I'm jobless, haven't really seen much better than that from memory!
Sunie: What would you say are your teams weakness and strengths?
MCiTY^Esco: Our main weakness is probably teamwork, our strengths are secret but its safe to say its not toneeh's map awareness. Musica's driving is also one of our teams weakness.
Sunie: After Gamescom, do you see your team going to many more LAN events in the future?
MCiTY^Esco: Yeah for sure, especially if there's good prize money. Our sponsors mcc and sgty are very generous and we are lucky to have them, we expect to attend at least another LAN event outside of Australasia this year.
Sunie: And finally, any shoutouts?
